Plan to build 100 vet hospital buildings

The Animal Husbandry Department has proposed to take up construction of own buildings for 100 veterinary hospitals in the district at a cost of Rs 15.72 crore. According to official sources here, it has been proposed to construct seven veterinary hospital buildings at taluk, 18 at mandal and 73 at village levels.

Kurnool: The Animal Husbandry Department has proposed to take up construction of own buildings for 100 veterinary hospitals in the district at a cost of Rs 15.72 crore. According to official sources here, it has been proposed to construct seven veterinary hospital buildings at taluk, 18 at mandal and 73 at village levels.

Taluk, mandal and village level veterinary hospital buildings are estimated to cost Rs 22 lakh, Rs 18 lakh and Rs 14 lakh each respectively.

The department has already submitted proposals to the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) seeking aid from the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) for the construction of veterinary hospital buildings, sources added.
