Anantapur: The International Disabled Day was celebrated in Rajendra Municipal High School, Buddappanagar here under the auspices of the Assistant Director, Disabled and Senior Citizens Welfare.
Joint Collector Syed Khaja Moinuddin, chief guest, flagged off a rally which was taken out to mark the day. T Ravindra, Assistant Director, local municipal corporator Radhadevi and leaders of various welfare organisations for the disabled in the district joined the celebrations.
Moinuddin gave away prizes to the winners and runners-up in the sports/games events conducted on November 26, to mark the celebrations.
