Hyderabad: Justice P V Sanjay Kumar of the High Court at Hyderabad on Friday directed the Registrar of the High Court to remove the name of AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu from the list of respondents in a petition seeking transfer of Gangi Reddy from a jail in Andhra Pradesh to any jail in Telangana.

The judge was dealing with a petition filed by Malavika wife of Gangi Reddy, an accused in the red sanders smuggling.

She said that her husband was initially arrayed as an accused in the Alipiri blast but was acquitted by the court.

The judge said that it was not proper to name a person currently holding the office of the CM as a respondent.
