Nellore: Municipal Minister P Narayana launched Jana Chaitanya Yatras in 14,15 and 16 wards in city on Friday with an aim to popularise social welfare programmes being implemented by the State government among people.

He, along with local leaders, visited many areas and distributed pamphlets at their doorsteps. The Minister explained that the TDP government has been focusing on overall development of the state by encouraging various industries for improving livelihood in poor and marginalised communities.

Narayana said that the Chief Minister is working for more than 18 hours for the construction of Amaravati, the AP capital. He made an appeal to party leaders to organise yatras in the district keeping their personal differences aside. District party president and MLC B Ravichandra, M Sridhara Krishna Reddy, former Minister Ramesh Reddy and others were present.
