The Tadipatri MLA said that the selection of Amaravati as AP capital has been done based on the caste politics. "The AP government did not take into account the recommendations made by the Sivaramakrishnan Committee constituted by the govt," he said.
He further said that Andhra needs its own capital as it cannot depend on Hyderabad all the time, however, the selection was done based on caste politics.
