Central team to visit flood-hit districts
In order to ascertain the losses and gather first-hand information in three flood- affected districts- Chittoor, Nellore and Kadapa, a Central team will arrive at Tirupati on Sunday. The team will also meet Chief Minister on Tuesday to apprise him about their findings.
Chittoor: In order to ascertain the losses and gather first-hand information in three flood- affected districts- Chittoor, Nellore and Kadapa, a Central team will arrive at Tirupati on Sunday. The team will also meet Chief Minister on Tuesday to apprise him about their findings.
The team would be divided in two batches. While one batch will leave for Nellore district, the second one will reach Chittoor on Sunday. Later, the teams would arrive in Kadapa on Monday and assess damage due to flood fury.
The team after ascertaining the losses will apprise Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday at 3.pm.
The District Collectors’ of the three districts will submit a consolidated report to the Central team furnishing details of the rain-related damage and quantum of amount needed as flood relief, according an official.
Meanwhile, Chittoor District Collector Siddarth Jain who is spearheading the flood relief operation in the district has completed distribution of rice to the flood-affected families and now taken up rehabilitation of the displaced victims on a war footing.
