Kurnool: As many as 10.39 lakh white ration card holders in the district would get ‘Chandranna Sankranti Kanuka’ in the New Year. The State government which provided gift packs containing essential commodities to white ration card holders for Sankranti this year under the Chandranna Sankranti Kanuka scheme, has decided to implement the same for the ensuing harvesting festival. Civil Supplies Corporation District Manager A Venkatesu told the media here on Friday that Kurnool would start getting stocks under the Chandranna Sankranti Kanuka scheme from next week. The gift packs would be supplied to the white ration card holders in the first and second weeks of January through fair price shops, he said.
