Rajahmundry: V Vijayarama Raju assumed charge as the Commissioner of Municipal Corporation of Rajahmundry on Saturday. He was performing duties as Sub-Collector of Rajahmundry before being transferred as the Commissioner.
Speaking to reporters on the occasion, Vijayarama Raju said that the priority would be given to the sanitation and beautification of the city. He assured that the services would be enhanced in Rajahmundry with the support of the people, staff and NGOs. He mentioned that water supply system of Rajahmundry was one of the best in the State as water was being supplied covering 78 percent of the city.
He stressed the need for motivation of the staff and added that he was confident of getting good results by taking everyone on board. He stressed the need for specific places for advertisements in the city and made it clear that advertisement tariff would be collected on posters and flexes. He mentioned that technology would be utilised for the development.
