Thousands witness celestial wedding of Lord Venkateswara

Thousands of devotees who assembled at ITI grounds here on Saturday evening witnessed the celestial wedding of Lord Venkateswara. The programme was organised by TTD Temple authorities as part of propagation of Hindu Dharma.
Kakinada: Thousands of devotees who assembled at ITI grounds here on Saturday evening witnessed the celestial wedding of Lord Venkateswara. The programme was organised by TTD Temple authorities as part of propagation of Hindu Dharma.
Devotees, particularly women, turned out in large numbers for the wedding with both Sri Devi and Bhu Devi. Amidst chanting of Namo Venkatesa, TTD singers sang devotional songs throughout the programme that lasted for about two hours.
TTD Trust Board member and Kakinada Rural MLA Pilli Ananta Lakshmi took special interest in arranging the programme in Kakinada.
Police made elaborate armaments for the conduct to the divine wedding. The organisers also arranged buses for the transport of people from surrounding areas of Kakinada, particularly from various mandals under Kakinada Rural Constituency.
