APSSDC, NASSCOM to impart training on cyber security

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) and National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) will jointly launch a training programme for unemployed youth in the State in cyber security courses.

According to APSSDC CEO U Aparna, “Training will be provided in cyber security, data analytics and similar areas of technology. There is a dearth of 1.5 lakh million work force in the field, and our endeavour is to increase the work force from four million to six million,” she added.

Cyber security has a low key share of a mere one percent in software industry but Aparna said that it is poised for growth. “Application security and data security segments are expected to create about five lakh jobs worldwide. We are partnering with NASSCOM to organise training programme for unemployed youth,” she added.

The training would provide to get jobs like security analyst and associate analyst. It was also planned to provide Master of Training (MOT) in association with United States, in 36 universities in the State.
