Newborn dumped in canal

Nandikotkur (Kurnool): The body of a newborn was found in a canal at Sikaripeta on Sunday. Some villagers, who noticed the body, informed about it to police. It was alleged that some unidentified persons threw the newborn into the canal.
The body was retrieved from the canal and shifted to the government hospital mortuary. A case was registered and investigation is on.
