Stone laid for indoor stadium

Kakinada: A foundation stone for a multipurpose indoor stadium to be constructed at a cost of Rs 20 lakh at PR Government Autonomous College was laid here on Sunday.
The funds for the auditorium were provided by college alumni, NASSCOM and Infotech chairman B V Mohan Reddy. Speaking on the occasion, college principal M Satyanarayana said the stadium would have basketball, volleyball, badminton and table tennis courts.
Former principal M V Bharata Lakshmi said the stadiums would also play an important role in keeping the people fit through games and sports. President of PR Government College Alumni Association Bhami Reddy said the stadium will help the college to conduct all the major indoor games under one roof. College staff and students in large numbers were present.
