Acquire more skills for more opportunities

“Irrespective of the course that students take up, skills are to be present in them to nail opportunities”, opined Yadapalli Sireesha and Annavarapu Divya Srisai of a Bangalore based firm C-PAT while addressing the students of Pharm D at KVSR Siddhartha College of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Vijayawada on Tuesday.

In a seminar held on ‘Clinical Pharmacy’ and ‘Pharmacotherapeutics’, they said that students who pursue professional courses should make sure they are equipped with required skills so that they are absorbed into the industry. Along with technical knowledge, one who is well versed with recent happenings, extracurricular knowledge will be preferred by the industry to be given an opportunity.

The role of a Pharmacist is important in treating the patients along with doctors. They have a major role that has to be played in choosing the right medicine with required combinations of drugs. Students should develop sound knowledge on Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmacotherapeutics and Pharmacovigilance to make a big move in the industry, they added.
