The YSRCP chief today visited Krishna Lanka in Vijayawada to console the families of those who died after consuming spurious liquor. He also visited the hospital where others are recovering.

Later, speaking to the media, YS Jagan demanded the AP government provide Rs 20 lakh exgratia to the bereaved families. "He is running the state like his own business house. He should apologize to the people for the illicit liquor deaths," YS Jagan demanded.

Stating that the Government is encouraging the sales hikes in the state, YS Jagan said that it made Rs 7,050 crores in seven months against Rs 6,632 crores in 2014.

He also said that his party is giving an opportunity to the Government to ban the liquor in the state or he would ban it when he comes to power. "Gujarath has banned liquor, but it stands in top position in development in the country," he added.
