40 years on, Siddhartha College alumni to have a meeting for the first time

Here is an opportunity for the alumni of PB Siddhartha College of Arts and Science College here to get together on December 20. A poster regarding the event was released by the Siddhartha Alumni Association convener Bodepudi Amarendar here on Monday.

Talking to the news men on the occasion, Amarendar said that alumni meet will provide a platform to all present and former students to interact and share their thoughts. It was the first ever meet in the history of this 40-year-old college, where the students from the college establishment till date will get together on the day. As many as 1,200 former students are expected to participate in the event, he said.

The former students include Minister for Irrigation Devineni Ummaaheswara Rao, sports personality Chetan Anand, NV Surendra Babu IPS, Indian Revenue Service official Sowmya, Stamps and Registration additional inspector general M Venkata Rajesh, renowned singers Sri Krishna and Sai Silpa, Vijayawada City Traffic ACP Sravan Kumar and many other luminaries will participate in the event, he said.

The event will be held from 8 am to 4 pm on December 20 (Sunday) at Siddhartha Auditorium, he added. Siddhartha Alumni Association vice presidents V Anil Babu and Nimmagadda Venkateswara Rao, secretary A Prasanth Chowdary, College principal MVN Padma Rao, Siddhartha Academy secretary P Lakshmana Rao and others also present.
