Good response to maths training and talent search

The Tamil Nadu Central University maths professor, Prof. Chandrasekhar, asked the students to go for research in mathematics. Prof. Chandrasekhar inaugurated the five day Mathematics Training and Talent Search organized by the KBN College in association with National Board of Higher Mathematics.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Chandrasekhar said that students simply apply the established formulas and get answers. However, he wanted the students to explore if the established formulas would help in finding a different answer. He wanted them to get a better knowledge of mathematics and excel in life.

The KBN College committee president U Sambasiva Rao thanked the mathematics department of the college for organizing the national level workshop. He also wanted the students to make use of the workshop to improve their knowledge in mathematics.

The college committee secretary N Rajithkumar, IIT Mumbai mathematics department head, Prof. N Sivajiganesh, IIT Hyderabad mathematics department head Prof. Sukumar, college principal, P Krishna Murthy and others spoke.
