Kakinada: The AP government issued GO No.26 on Sunday assuring the farming community about the purchase of discoloured paddy without any value cut.
According to East Godavari Joint Collector S Satyanarayana, the government released Rs 36 crore as per the GO, to purchase discoloured paddy to the tune of 2.37 lakh MT in East Godavari and 2.59 lakh MT in West Godavari, totaling to 4.96 lakh MT in both the districts without any value cut.
The Joint Collector clarified that the purchases will be made by women self-help groups and PACs as per the government order issued on Sunday.
