Anantapur: District Collector Kona Sasidhar on Saturday appealed to the people to protect their health, as health is wealth. ‘It is a blessing to be in good health’, he observed while inaugurating a free health camp for the Revenue department employees.

Addressing the gathering, Sasidhar stressed the importance of good health and doing exercises. ‘Good health is vital for development of intelligent quotient, leading to speedy achievement of tasks.’ He advised the Revenue employees to think of their families’ welfare despite being under stress. The Collector stated that the district administration was organising a sports meet till the month-end for securing coordination among various departments. Thanks to good work done by the government staff, the district could get rid of its black mark on account of the fake passbook scam. A team from Chittoor would visit shortly to study the district’s development. A special sports meet would be conducted in February next year for the Revenue employees, he said.

Joint Collector B Lakshmikantham advised the employees to adopt healthy food practices, to shun stress and to take up exercises for remaining healthy. He praised Sasidhar for making the staff discharge their duties diligently leading to the district winning laurels.

Joint Collector II Syed Khaja Moinuddin, DRO Hemasagar, APRSA president Jayaramappa and physicians of Savera Hospital were present.
