In order to promote the Indian Cultural and arts and also spread the cultural flavour of the audience, the Mummineni Subbarao Sidhartha Kala Peetham is conducting various cultural programmes by inviting troupes from different states. Manipuri Jagoy Marup" presented Manipuri dances and a dance ballet “Kabuliwala” based on the script of 'Viswakavi' Rabindranath Tagore.

There is significant influence of religious epics like Ramayana, Mahabharata, Bhagavata and the Radha Krishna rasaleela on this Manipuri dance form. The artistes commenced the programme with an impressive dance item Geetha Govindam- Dasavatara. Another folk dance item of Manipuri state Mowh was performed by a group of artistes. This dance form depicts how people rejoice during the harvest season.

The Kabuleewala story is most popular as it is one of Rabindranath Tagore’s writing. All the artistes presented the “Kabuliwala” dance ballet to depict the story perfectly. The connoisseurs of the auditorium appreciated the devotion and style of presentation of the ballet. The artistes were felicitated by Dr. Chivukula Sundararama Sarma on behalf of the Academy on this occasion.
