TDP MLC's brother, corporator's husband held in call money sex scandal

The Vijayawada police arrested several persons including TDP MLC Budda Venkanna\'s brother Nageswara Rao and TDP corporator\'s husband Gurram Kanaka Durga Gurram Konda in connection with the alleged call money-cum-sex scandal.
The Vijayawada police arrested several persons including TDP MLC Budda Venkanna's brother Nageswara Rao and TDP corporator's husband Gurram Kanaka Durga Gurram Konda in connection with the alleged call money-cum-sex scandal.
According to reports, Budda Nageswar earned Rs 300 crore through the Call Money scam. As many as 58 persons have been arrested so far in the scam. The Police believe that 200 crores worth properties are with call money lenders and police have seized several cheques and documents from them.
The police raided Gurram Kanaka Durga's house and took her husband into their custody. The police is said to have recovered some key documents related to the murky deals during the raid and the cops have conducted searches and raids at 92 places so far.
The call money scam has created ripples in Vijayawada and complaints have been pouring in as the call money lenders blackmailed the victims and sexually exploited some woman borrowers.
