Corporator commits suicide in Chittoor: Harassment by police?

A corporator in Chittoor allegedly committed suicide at his residence on Thursday. According to reports, Sivaprasad Reddy (46) was found hanging from a ceiling fan using a saree at around 11 am at his residence in the town.

A corporator in Chittoor allegedly committed suicide at his residence on Thursday. According to reports, Sivaprasad Reddy (46) was found hanging from a ceiling fan using a saree at around 11 am at his residence in the town.
The police took the corporator into their custody on Wednesday afternoon to question him in connection with the Chittoor mayor couple's murder case and he was freed at 10 am today.
After reaching his house, Sivaprasad allegedly ended his life. It is learnt that he left a suicide note at the spot and he reportedly mentioned that police harassment was the main reason behind his extreme step. He was the close aide of former MLA C.K Babu and won as corporator from 36 division as an independent candidate.
