Women corporators for a noble cause

The women corporators of VMC here on Thursday have donated a sum of Rs 11, 000 for an old age home, which was being administrated by the Country Women’s Association of India at Gosala.

In a statement issued here, Association secretary B Keerthi said that women corporators have visited the old age home as part of their three day orientation and leadership training program organized by the Vasavya Mahila Mandali from December 14 to 17.

The amount donated by the women corporators will be utilized to purchase essential commodities such as rice, dal, wheat flour and oil to feed the elder people in the old age home, she said.
