ADB Chief Economist visits Sri City

Dr Shang Jin Wei, Chief Economist and Director General of Economic Research, Asian Development Bank (ADB), along with a team of senior officials of ADB visited Sri City on Thursday, as part of its study on Vizag-Chennai Industrial Corridor (VCIC). VCIC is a key element of the envisaged East Coast Economic Corridor- India’s first coastal corridor.
Tirupati: Dr Shang-Jin Wei, Chief Economist and Director General of Economic Research, Asian Development Bank (ADB), along with a team of senior officials of ADB visited Sri City on Thursday, as part of its study on Vizag-Chennai Industrial Corridor (VCIC). VCIC is a key element of the envisaged East Coast Economic Corridor- India’s first coastal corridor.
Satish Kamat, President (Operations), Sri City extended a warm welcome and briefed them on the infrastructure and the unique features of Sri City. Dr Wei evinced keen interest in knowing more on various aspects of it.
Dr Wei had an interactive meeting with the senior executives of the industrial units of Sri City and sought their suggestions on the industrial townships and related issues.
