Hyderabad: In the wake of the tirade launched by the opposition YSRCP against the government on call money scam on the first day of the winter session of Assembly on Thursday, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu instructed his Cabinet colleagues and TDP legislators to counter the opposition effectively on Friday, when the issue would be debated at length.

Naidu, who chaired the TDLP meeting which lasted for over two hours, instructed the party leaders to be fully armed with the cases along with dates. He asked them to expose the links between associates of the former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy and those who have been running the call money business.

Naidu told them that he would be making a detailed statement and the members should carry forward the issue effectively, he said. He also told the MLAs and Ministers that they should explain to the people as to how majority of the people in the call money racket belong to YSRCP.

He told them that as per the records gathered so far it is clear that most of the call money centers were being run by the YSRCP leaders in the districts and this needs to be exposed thoroughly, Naidu is understood to have told them.

Naidu said that before discussing the call money scam as demanded by the opposition, a debate on the father of Indian Constitution Dr BR Ambedkar would be taken up on the occasion of his 125th birth anniversary in the house.
