Vijayawada: Krishna district, which is ahead in implementing e-Office system in all the departments, is now heading towards introducing online auditing system of all departments and asked the NIC to provide necessary technology.

The NIC, Delhi conducted an online audit training programme on Friday. Participating in the programme District Collector Babu A said that e-Office was introduced in 106 offices in Krishna district and two crore files were computerised.
He said that by introducing e-POS system in 2,166 fair price shops they are able to prevent misuse of Rs 16 crore. He said that the online auditing system is not being implemented in panchayat raj and local bodies despite best technology and applications system provided by NIC staff.
Responding to the initiative of the District Collector in successfully implementing e-Office, NIC official Sheetal said that the officials should furnish the information of all the departments for developing an application for online auditing system.
NIC officials SK Joshi, Mitra, Mahidhar and district audit officer Y Satyanarayana participated in the video conference.
