Mummineni Subbarao Siddhartha Kala Peetham has organized a colourful Mohiniyattam dance performance. Mythili Anup presented the beautiful dance items in Mohiniyattam style.
Mummineni Subbarao Siddhartha Kala Peetham has organized a colourful Mohiniyattam dance performance. Mythili Anup presented the beautiful dance items in Mohiniyattam style. She has exhibited excellent expressions and postures and the audience appreciated her talent.
Abhinayam is main component in this Mohiniyattam. The dance had significant colourful costumes. The movements (Padavinyasam) for the music were apt and it showed the devotion of Mythili Anup towards the dance. The connoisseurs enjoyed the performance to the fullest.
Post the dance items, the Viswabharathi Karali Sangh, under the leadership of Sajeevan Gurukkal, presented Kalaripyapattu items. Kalaripayattu, a martial art and also a popular art style for fighting battlefield in Kerala. In olden days each warrior in the battlefield undergoes tough training.
It is considered to be one of the oldest fighting systems in existence. It is now practiced in Kerala, the age old swords, axe etc are the main components of this. Dr Chivukula Sundararama Sarma, Dr. Khandapu Manmadha Rao felicitated the artistes on behalf of Kala Peetham.
