In a festive spirit, believers and youngsters of the city have revelled in Christmas celebrations spreading the love.
In a festive spirit, believers and youngsters of the city have revelled in Christmas celebrations spreading the love. Cathedrals and congregation houses rang in the birth of baby Jesus at the tick of 12’o clock amidst midnight mass. Message of joy, care and love was preached on the occasion.
Youngsters made sure they make the most out of the festive season by distributing cakes and sweets which is a custom of the Christmas time in every Christian household and place of worship. The carol singing programmes came to an end as choir members of respective groups have geared up to praise the occasion as a gesture of worship. Special prayers to the baby Christ and soul rendering songs welcoming his birth on the earth marked the celebrations.
Crib, a set up of the scene depicting birth of baby Jesus was set up at every nook and corner of the streets. They are decked up with shining decorative materials and were illuminated to bring the dazzling look in the cold season. Christmas Star, a mandate of the celebration, that is believed to point way to the birth place of baby Jesus were put up and left to glow throughout the night.
Shopping malls, complexes, organisations, private and corporate outlets have put their foot forward to join celebrations by calling for a Christmas theme in their respective spaces. Visitors were also noticed clicking pictures at the humongous Christmas tree that stands an absolute pride for all the festivities.
