Naveen Kumar, a resident of Hyderabad and a former employee of Amazon India, ordered an Apple iPhone 6 for Rs 51, 590 from Flipkart on January 15. The iPhone 6 was delivered to him on January 20. Naveen claimed that instead of an iPhone, Flipkart delivered paper and rubber inside the box.

In good faith, Flipkart refunded the amount to him.The details of the missing iPhone were shared with law enforcement authorities so that the missing phone could be traced. The same was tracked in December to a person named Manish Sharma also from Hyderabad, who works in Deloitte.

A case was registered with the Chikkadpally police station. After a thorough investigation, the police arrested two persons– Naveen Kumar along with Atul Sharma, who is currently working in Amazon India. Both the accused confessed that they were jointly involved in the fraudulent activity and have given the phone to Manish Sharma.
