Association president T Veera Reddy informed that bills pertaining to water supply and general works worth Rs 60 crore were kept pending with the GVMC since August and on enquiry, the officials always convince that the same would be cleared soon after they receive the dues from the Port Trust. He felt that the budget allotted for works might have been diverted to the city beautification works for the ensuing International Fleet Review.
Association secretary G Chandramouli, organising secretary Sanapala Vara Prasad and treasurer R Narasing Rao urged the registered contractors of electrical, water supply and other projects working in all 72 wards covered by six municipal zones to attend to the annual general body.
