The supporters of slain Congress legislator Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga Rao remembered their leader on his 27th death anniversary here on Saturday. Led by Ranga’s son and former legislator Vangaveeti Radhakrishna, the activists organsied rallies, distribution of fruits and free meals at various places. They also garlanded the statues of the late leader and recalled his services.

Vijayawada: The supporters of slain Congress legislator Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga Rao remembered their leader on his 27th death anniversary here on Saturday. Led by Ranga’s son and former legislator Vangaveeti Radhakrishna, the activists organsied rallies, distribution of fruits and free meals at various places. They also garlanded the statues of the late leader and recalled his services.

Radhakrishna, while addressing the activists, said that his father was a great leader of the masses and had fought for the poor. He said that Ranga still enjoys the patronage of several people across the two Telugu States even after 27 years of his death. He claimed that the late leader had lived for the poor and always fought against exploitation, which had made him their leader.
