Tanuku: Roads and Buildings and Transport Minister Sidda Raghava Rao said new road construction works would be completed in all 13 districts replacing the old roads by January-end.

He was inaugurating the CC roads to be constructed at a cost of Rs 6.10 crore in Tanuku constituency on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the government had spent Rs 10,000 crore for road construction works during the last 18 months in the State.
“Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is aiming at all-round development of the State and wants the development of roads on priority,” he said and added that the road between Visakhapatnam to Bhimili would be developed at a cost of Rs 60 crore in February next year.
Stating that Amaravati to Anantapur and Kurnool to Amaravati roads would be developed soon, the Transport Minister said the proposals for road repair works running to a length of 5,000 km were under the consideration of the Chief Minister.
The Minister said Tanuku MLA Arimilli Radhakrishna and ZP chairman Mullapudi Bapiraju had submitted proposals for construction of rural roads and for repairs of R&B bungalow in Tanuku constituency and assured sanction of the funds for the same.
Tanuku Municipal chairman Dommeti Venkata Sudhakar, R&B superintending engineer P Srimannarayana and others participated in the programme.
