Foolproof arrangements: Minister

Minister for Endowments Pydikondala Manikyala Rao said on Monday that foolproof arrangements were being made by the officials of Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam for the conduct of 41-day Bhavani Deeksha relinquishment at Indrakeeladri here from December 31.
Vijayawada: Minister for Endowments Pydikondala Manikyala Rao said on Monday that foolproof arrangements were being made by the officials of Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam for the conduct of 41-day Bhavani Deeksha relinquishment at Indrakeeladri here from December 31.
The Minister inspected the arrangements being made by the temple authorities at Indrakeeladri and guided the officials to provide drinking water and take steps for hassle-free darshan to the devotees.
Speaking on the occasion, Manikyala Rao said that 2016 year was very crucial for the department, as Vijayawada was going to host the Krishna Pushkaralu and other major events. Measures would be taken by the government in providing basic amenities and infrastructure near bathing ghats on the banks of River Krishna to meet the rush during the event.
Earlier, the Minister offered special prayers to Goddess Kanaka Durga and unveiled the 2016 calendar and diary of the temple staff. Temple Executive Officer Ch Narasing Rao and priests offered traditional welcome to him.
After having darshan of Goddess Kanaka Durga, he was blessed by the temple priests. Silk vastram, photos of Goddess Kanaka Durga and laddu prasadam were presented to the Minister on his visit to the temple.
Meanwhile, the Endowment Minister also participated in a meeting organised by the Akhila Bharatha Bhavani Deeksha Sangham at Gulabi Thota. Members of the sangham felicitated the Minister Pydikondala Manikyala Rao for permitting the Guru Bhavani’s to participate in the relinquishmentof ‘Bhavani Deeksha’ at Indrakeeladri.
