He attended as the chief guest at the silver jubilee celebrations of Rajiv Gandhi Group of Educational Institutions here on Monday.
He also unveiled the pylon of silver jubilee celebrations on the college premises. Speaking on the occasion, he said education is definitely the biggest asset one can have, but it could be in any field, and we only need to discover a child's talent to develop that.
He lauded the efforts of Institute chairman and former MP G V Harsha Kumar for giving priority to quality education.
Former Union Minister M M Pallam Raju stressed the importance of education to counter various ills confronting the society.
He said for the development of the country, educational empowerment of every child is important. He said parents have a vital role to play in the formative years of the child and should not force their choice on their children in choosing the course they want to pursue.
Former Chairman of the AP State Council of Higher Education K C Reddy also spoke on the occasion.
