Vijayawada: The Mala Mahanadu national president, Karem Shivaji, has demanded the Telugu Desam government to release a white paper on the action so far taken against the accused under call money-cum-sex racket.
Addressing a press conference here on Monday, K Shivaji said that the number of complaints against the accused under call money scandal have been gradually increasing over the days.
Though the police have been receiving the complaints against the accused, they were not providing any acknowledgement to the victims. He wondered how the victims get justice unless the police issue acknowledgement to each and every complaint lodged against the call money lenders.
He also wanted the Government to take action against the financers who had mortgaged the properties of victims. The revenue department officials had to intervene in the probe to verify land documents as money sharks had registered properties of borrowers in their name without notice to the real land owners, he said.
The Mala Mahanadu leader also demanded a CBI inquiry into the irregularities noticed in the AgriGold scam. Under the AgriGold scam, so far cases pertaining to only Rs 28, 000 crore were settled. “More than 46 lakh victims across eight states were facing mental agony due to the AgriGold scam. The government was unsuccessful in arresting the accused indulged in the scam,” he criticised.
