CPI flays CM for ignoring Rayalaseema

Vijayawada: CPI State Secretary K Ramakrishna said that they are ready to join hands with the other Left parties to protest against the TDP government for ignoring the development of Rayalaseema districts.
Addressing newsmen here on Wednesday, Ramakrsihna came down heavily on Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for hoodwinking the people with false promise of transforming Rayalaseema into Ratanalaseema. He questioned the Chief Minister on what lines he is going to develop Rayalaseema without providing input subsidy and compensation for the farmers, who lost their crops to the severe drought.
“About 148 farmers have committed suicide in Anantapur district alone this year, with their inability to repay loans to the financiers. Majority of the farmers in the Rayalaseema region has been migrating to other States in search of alternate livelihood.
Instead of making false statements on the development of Rayalaseema, the CM should at least now take the initiative of prevailing over PM Narendra Modi to provide special package for Northern Andhra and Rayalaseema districts for their development.
