Rajahmundry gets changed to Rajamahendravaram

The traditional and cultural hub of Rajahmundry will be termed Rajamahendravaram beginning from New Year's Day. From now on the new name of the city - Rajamahendravaram in East Godavari district will be used in all official records including the private agencies and Road Transport buses.
The name was decided by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu during the Godavari Pushkaralu that were held in Rajahmundry and felt that Rajamahendravaram is more suitable for the place.
