Complete flyover by June 15, officials told

Government Special Chief Secretary B Syambabu has asked the officials to speed up flyover works at Kanaka Durga Temple ghat road as Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is keen on completing the flyover by June 15 to make it accessible for people during Krishna Pushkaram. Addressing a review meeting at Collector Camp Office in Vijayawada on Saturday, the Special Chief Secretary said officials of various departments should act in coordination to speed up the flyover works. Transco officials said 215 electrical poles were shifted and another 96 poles would be shifted in a week.

Municipal Commissioner G Veera Pandian said pipeline works at a stretch of 650 metres were completed against 700 metres. He said there was interruption for the pipeline works due to Bhavani Deeksha relinquishment. He said the balance works would be completed in two weeks.
R&B Superintending engineer Moshe said that 35 test poles would be completed as per the schedule. The Special Chief Secretary asked the officials to hand over the site to contractor for casting works. Sub-Collector Srujana and others were present.
