Sri Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavam from tomorrow

Sri Lakshmi Srinivasa Vasavi Seva Samithi will organise ‘Sri Venkateswara Swamy vari Vaibhavothsavams’ at Gandhiji Municipal High School Grounds, One Town from January 9 to 13. A poster for the event was released by the Samithi president D Srinivas Rao, along with general secretary Mamidi Lakshmi Venkata Krishna Rao here on Thursday.

Addressing a press conference, Srinivasa Rao said that Mysore Avadhoota Datta Peetham Ganapathi Sachidananda Swami, along with Datta Viyanandha Tridha Swami will perform special rituals to mark the inauguration of the event. He said that Samithi has been conducting the vaibavothsavams in the city to offer a unique opportunity to the people of the Vijayawada, as there will be no feasibility for the devotees visiting Tirumala to witness all these rituals and special services given the huge rush and shortage of time.

Rao also informed that Sri Sri Sri Swaroopanandendra Swamy of Sarada Peetam, Visakhapatnam will participate in the poornahuti and raksha sudharshan homam on January 13 to mark the conclusion of the event. Samithi treasurer U Srinivas Babu, vice president Ch Raghu Ram, secretary R Umamaheswara Gupta and others were also present at the news conference.
