Vijayawada: The three-day 46th State conference of the All India Students Federation (AISF) will begin here on January 29. The agenda will be condemning the Telugu Desam Government’s move of privatise education in the State.
Addressing a press conference in this connection, State secretary of the AISF I Bayyanna alleged that the BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre was trying to ‘saffronise’ education and influence students with its ‘communal’ policies.
The Telugu Desam Government, which was an ally of BJP, was following the footsteps of the latter. It also paved the way for the establishment of private universities in the State, he criticised.
