​Kakinada: The State government has sanctioned Rs 80 crore towards the development of basic amenities in 71 hospitals across the State, Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas has said.
He was speaking at Kakinada government hospital here on Friday, after inaugurating various medical facilities, taken up with the cost of Rs 2.12 crore, on the campus.
Two operation theatres, built at the cost of Rs 35 lakh, and two waiting halls, built at the cost of Rs 25 lakh, was among those facilitates inaugurated by the minister.
When scribes asked him about the inordinate delay and apathy shown by authorities of diagnostic centres in extending services to patients referred by government hospitals, he assured to look into the issue.
