Tirumala: With a view to enable convenient transportation for the pilgrims, who are coming by air from various parts of the country as well overseas, the APSRTC has started two bus services on Saturday in Tirumala. They will be operated in between Renigunta airport and Tirumala. TTD JEO KS Srinivasa Raju has formally flagged off the newly introduced bus services at APSRTC depot here on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, the JEO said that the pilgrims, who are coming in air services, have considerably increased with the commissioning of the new international airport terminal at Renigunta. “At present, around eight services are operating daily and in near future the air bus services may increase with Tirupati becoming one of the most sought after pilgrim centres in the world,” he observed.
He complimented the APSRTC for coming out with an innovative move of operating two exclusive buses for air passengers from Airport to Tirumala and Vice-versa. “Every day, two buses will operate in three trips each to transport the passengers, who come for darshan of Lord Venkateswara. It is a welcoming gesture,” he added. APSRTC depot manager K L N Reddy and other officials were also present.
