Health Minister goes under knife at GGH
Minister for Health Kamineni Srinivas set a precedent to boost the credibility of government hospitals and underwent a knee replacement surgery at Guntur Government General hospital, here on Friday to establish government hospitals were equipped with medical infrastructure on par with private hospitals.
​Guntur: Minister for Health Kamineni Srinivas set a precedent to boost the credibility of government hospitals and underwent a knee replacement surgery at Guntur Government General hospital, here on Friday to establish government hospitals were equipped with medical infrastructure on par with private hospitals.
The surgery began at 8 am on Friday and got completed in two hours. Speaking to media persons, hospital superintendent Dr Raju Naidu said the operation was successful and it has boosted the morale of the doctors of GGH and also created confidence among common man on the quality health care in government hospitals.
A team of doctors from Care and Saibhaskar hospitals including Dr B V Prasad, Dr B Narendra Reddy performed the knee replacement surgery along with GGH doctors. The health of Kamineni is stable and he spoke to the doctors and district collector after the surgery. Minister for Agriculture Prattipati Pulla Rao, MP Gokaraju Ganga Raju and others visited the hospital.
