Former MLA and city Congress president Malladi Vishnu, who is accused No. 9 in the liquor tragedy case, was granted conditional bail by the Metropolitan Sessions Court on Friday. Vishnu has to submit a surety of Rs 50,000 and was asked to cooperate with SIT officials in investigation. 

Vijayawada: Former MLA and city Congress president Malladi Vishnu, who is accused No. 9 in the liquor tragedy case, was granted conditional bail by the Metropolitan Sessions Court on Friday. Vishnu has to submit a surety of Rs 50,000 and was asked to cooperate with SIT officials in investigation.

Malladi Vishnu, along with his brother Malladi Srinivas were granted bail in the spurious liquor case which claimed five lives. After being in custody for 14 days both Judicial and police, the duo were let out on a bail. Twenty-nine others were hospitalised after consuming liquor at Swarna Bar and Restaurant at Krishnalanka on December 7.
