Vijayawada: Minister for Municipal Administration P Narayana said that the objections raised by farmers on Amaravati capital draft master plan would be taken into consideration and necessary changes would be made in the master plan.

Allaying the fears of villagers on allotment of plots, the Minister said that plots would be allotted to villagers as per the classification of lands including Jareeb lands and non-Jareeb lands. He said that there is no need for panic among villagers as the government decided to stop laying roads taking into consideration the objections raised by villagers.

Speaking to mediapersons here on Friday, the Minister said that the last date for submitting objections on draft master plan is January 25 and the government would issue notification for land pooling on February 1 after making necessary modifications in draft master plan.

Regarding protests from villagers on Gramakantam issues, the Minister said that the Gramakantam issues would be settled following the objections raised by villagers. He said Guntur Joint Collector Sridhar was entrusted with the job of finalising the Gramakantam issues.

The Minister said that the last date for submitting objections on perspective master plan would be extended by 15 days. He said the CRDA officials would conduct awareness programmes at mandal level to bring awareness among villagers on draft master plan.

The Minister said as per the directions of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, a team of CRDA officials accompanied him to Navi Mumbai to study the city development programme there. He said that the Navi Mumbai officials praised the land pooling system adopted by AP government and planned to implement the same procedure there for further development of the city. He said the government has been trying to adopt world class technology for the development of Amaravati capital city.
