Urdu university goes to Kurnool

The Urdu University, which the TD government has promised to set up in Kadapa, is now being shifted to Kurnool attracting the ire of the Muslim community of Kadapa. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had proposed to set up the Urdu University in Kadapa and a resolution was also passed in the Assembly.

At that time, the Chief Minister said it would be very useful to over four-lakh Muslims of Kadapa. This move is being opposed by the students as well as the main opposition YSRCP.
Many PG students lamented that they were happy that the Urdu University would come up at Kadapa and would save them from going to Hyderabad. But the present move of the government comes as a shock for the student community.
