No cross talk on capital plan: Naidu to Ministers
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is learnt to have expressed his ire over few of his Cabinet colleagues airing different versions over the demands for correction in the Draft Master Plan (DMP) of the capital city Amaravati.

The Chief Minister had taken serious view of some Ministers giving assurances openly that the government would not go ahead with the construction of Amaravati, without taking them into confidence. The Chief Minister felt that such assurances on behalf of the government would open an unending saga of demands to truncate the finalisation of the Capital City Master Plan (CCMP).
According to reliable sources, “The Chief Minister had also made it clear that there would be no changes in the Express Highway proposed in the CCMP despite the demands for correction in the DMP.”
It may be mentioned here that the draft master plan of Amaravati has been put in public domain, inviting suggestions from the public for a period of one month.
However, what troubled the Chief Minister was that the Ministers responding in different voices to the demands put forth by the farmers, who had given their lands under the Land Pooling Scheme (LPS), and also whose lands are yet to be acquired.
Specifically, the reason for the Chief Minister’s anguish had come against the backdrop of Municipal and Urban Development Minister P Narayana landing in Singapore with a list of demands from the people seeking correction in the DMP.
The Minister had gone to Singapore along with CRDA Commissioner Dr N Srikanth to participate in a meeting that the Chief Minister had with the Singapore team which has been involved in the preparation of the planning for the capital city. But, several of the demands in the list that was carried to Singapore by Narayana were reportedly not feasible.
If they were all implemented by bringing changes, then they would come in the way of taking up prominent features like Express Highway, Multi-model Transport System, and other planned features of the city. For Naidu feels that it was the prominent features that have been incorporated in the CCMP were all what makes Amaravati different and a well-planned capital city than all other State capitals in the country, the sources added.
