New railway line opened for goods traffic
The Nossam to Banaganapalli section (a length of 45.30 kms) of the Nandyal to Yerraguntla New Railway Line Project opened for goods traffic from January 23, 2016.
Hyderabad: The Nossam-Banaganapalli section (a length of 45.30 kms) of the Nandyal-Yerraguntla New Railway Line Project opened for goods traffic from January 23, 2016.
Nandyal– Yerraguntla new railway line project was sanctioned for a distance of 123 kms at an estimated cost of Rs 843 crore and the work for this project has been taken up in three phases.
Phase-I of the project includes a distance of 47.2 kms between Yerraguntla–Nossam section and the same got completed and opened for goods traffic in October 2012.
Phase-II works between Nossam - Banganapalli, a distance of 45.3 kms is now completed and opened for goods traffic from January 23, 2016.
