Colgate-Palmolive opens unit in Sri City
Colgate-Palmolive has inaugurated its toothbrush production unit in Sri City on Wednesday. The FMCG major Europe and South Pacific CEO Fabian T Garcia unveiled the plaque and declared the plant inaugurated signaling the start of commercial production in the presence of company’s Vice-President Issaam Bachaalani.
Tirupati: Colgate-Palmolive has inaugurated its toothbrush production unit in Sri City on Wednesday. The FMCG major Europe and South Pacific CEO Fabian T Garcia unveiled the plaque and declared the plant inaugurated signaling the start of commercial production in the presence of company’s Vice-President Issaam Bachaalani.
The Sri City unit of Colgate-Palmolive, which was built in a 25 acres of land and commissioned in a building of 16000 square metres area, was set up at a an investment about Rs 450 crore in 19 months. It has an annual production capacity of 220 million pieces of toothbrushes.
The company proposes to expand the unit for increasing the annual production capacity to 600 million. The company offers employment opportunity for 1,200 people.
