Four schools closed down

Kothapalli (Kurnool): Four government schools in the mandal have been closed down due to poor student strength.

Mandal Educational Officer Jeevaratnam told newsmen here on Friday that the schools in Gummadapuram, Musalimadugu, Janalagudem and Kapileswaram hamlets were closed down.

Students of the wound up institutions were enrolled in nearby schools. The school teachers were transferred to other places, he said.
