The three-day annual festival of Gunadala Mary Matha was off to a gala start here on Tuesday. Bishop of Vijayawada Diocese Rev T Joseph Raja Rao lit the lamp which was followed by holy mass at the sprawling campus of Bishop Grassi High School.Â
Vijayawada: The three-day annual festival of Gunadala Mary Matha was off to a gala start here on Tuesday. Bishop of Vijayawada Diocese Rev T Joseph Raja Rao lit the lamp which was followed by holy mass at the sprawling campus of Bishop Grassi High School.
The nine-day prayers that began earlier to mark the preparation of the feast concluded on Tuesday. Fr T H John Mathew and Fr Joseph Vempony, who have completed 50 years of priesthood, celebrated the holy Eucharist to begin the first day of the three-day annual festival. The other priests, Fr P Joachim and Fr Lamu Jayaraju, among others, who have completed 25 years of priesthood, joined the Eucharist celebrations.
